Andy Cowherd has over 35 years of investment banking and private equity investing experience focused on the healthcare sector. In these roles, he has completed a wide range of M&A and strategic advisory assignments, as well as numerous private and public financings, as both an advisor and principal.
Prior to joining England & Company in 2015, Mr. Cowherd was a Managing Director of Healthcare Investment Banking at Mesirow Financial. He also served as a Managing Director at Peter J. Solomon Company, Salomon Brothers, and BT Securities / Bankers Trust Co. In addition, Mr. Cowherd was a founding member and General Partner of Atlantic Medical Capital, LP, a private equity firm focused on the healthcare industry.
Mr. Cowherd earned his AB from Princeton University and his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Paul Teitelbaum has over 25 years of healthcare investment banking, corporate development, and management experience, with a particular focus on medical technology and life sciences. He has completed numerous M&A, financing, and strategic partnership transactions for private and public companies.
Prior to joining England & Company in 2015, Mr. Teitelbaum was Managing Director of the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Mesirow Financial. He also served as a Managing Director of Healthcare Investment Banking at Landmark Ventures, and as a healthcare investment banker at Robertson Stephens and Burnham Securities. Previously, Mr. Teitelbaum held corporate development and disease management roles at Schering-Plough (now Merck & Co., Inc.) and Wyeth-Lederle (now Pfizer, Inc.).
Mr. Teitelbaum received his BA in Biology summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
John Warmath brings more than 15 years’ experience with M&A, strategic planning, and corporate development in the healthcare industry, with a specific focus in medical devices and the orthopedics market.
Prior to joining England & Company, Mr. Warmath served as Senior Director of Strategic Projects-Orthopedics at Smith & Nephew. Previously, he served as Senior Director, Business Development and Senior Director, International Expansion for Wright Medical Group NV (now Stryker).
Mr. Warmath earned his BS from Tennessee Technological University, and an MBA and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Craig MacKay has 30 years of investment banking experience focused on private financings for middle market companies. During his career, Mr. MacKay has been responsible for the issuance of over $9 billion of private equity, domestic and cross-border senior debt, high yield debt, and mezzanine securities. He has consummated dozens of acquisition financings, leveraged recapitalizations and refinancings across a broad spectrum of industries, including business services, communications/media, energy, financial services, healthcare, heavy industry, retail, technology, and transportation.
Prior to joining England & Company, Mr. MacKay headed the Private Finance Group at Oppenheimer & Company, where he led the origination and placement of private equity, debt, and structured securities. Prior to joining Oppenheimer (formerly CIBC World Markets), he was the head of Private Finance at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and was the Managing Member and founder of HNY Associates, an investment banking boutique. He began his career at Bankers Trust Company.
Mr. MacKay earned his BS in Economics and MBA in Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA Level 3 candidate. He has been active on numerous corporate and non-profit boards and currently serves as First Vice Chairman of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies.
