Craig C. MacKay

Craig MacKay has 30 years of investment banking experience focused on private financings for middle market companies. During his career, Mr. MacKay has been responsible for the issuance of over $9 billion of private equity, domestic and cross-border senior debt, high yield debt, and mezzanine securities. He has consummated dozens of acquisition financings, leveraged recapitalizations and refinancings across a broad spectrum of industries, including business services, communications/media, energy, financial services, healthcare, heavy industry, retail, technology, and transportation.
Prior to joining England & Company, Mr. MacKay headed the Private Finance Group at Oppenheimer & Company, where he led the origination and placement of private equity, debt, and structured securities. Prior to joining Oppenheimer (formerly CIBC World Markets), he was the head of Private Finance at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and was the Managing Member and founder of HNY Associates, an investment banking boutique. He began his career at Bankers Trust Company.
Mr. MacKay earned his BS in Economics and MBA in Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA Level 3 candidate. He has been active on numerous corporate and non-profit boards and currently serves as First Vice Chairman of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies.

Focus Pointe Global Acquired by Schlesinger Group
October 2019 – England & Company served as the exclusive financial advisor to Focus Pointe Global (“Focus Pointe”), a portfolio company of MVC Private Equity, in its acquisition by Schlesinger Group, a leading qualitative and quantitative marketing services firm backed by Gauge Capital.
Focus Pointe is one of the largest and most comprehensive providers of qualitative market research services in the United States. Through its national network of 18 strategically located research facilities, the company specializes in precision qualitative data collection and has developed a proprietary panel with over 1.6 million vetted respondents for use in qualitative and quantitative studies. Focus Pointe serves a diverse base of corporate clients with over 1,400 brands, as well as market research firms, educational institutions.

1-800-Pack-Rat Merges with Zippy Shell
June 2018 – England & Company served as the exclusive financial advisor to 1-800-Pack-Rat, LLC (“Pack-Rat”), a national provider of portable storage and comprehensive logistics solutions, in its strategic merger with Zippy Shell Incorporated (“Zippy Shell”), a portfolio company of Virgo Investment Group (“Virgo”).
After having served as Pack-Rat’s financial advisor in numerous private financings over the last five years, England was engaged by Pack-Rat to evaluate strategic options, culminating in its merger with Zippy Shell. The transaction, which was backed by a Virgo-led investor group, closed on June 4, 2018. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
