October 2022 – England Securities served as the exclusive placement agent to Ossio Ltd. (“Ossio”), a rapidly growing orthopedic fixation technology company, in its $38.5 million Series C financing. This financing, which was led by MVM Partners (“MVM”), a Boston- and London-based growth equity firm, represents England’s 9th transaction in orthopedics, and 5th transaction specifically in foot & ankle orthopedics.

Ossio, based in Woburn, MA and Caesarea, Israel, produces orthopedic implants made with OSSIOfiber® Intelligent Bone Regeneration Technology, a breakthrough in fixation material that provides the first credible solution to the shortcomings of permanent metal hardware, conventional resorbable, and allograft implants. The technology provides for unparalleled mechanical strength and natural bone healing in a non-permanent implant.

Made from a proprietary mineral fiber matrix held together by a naturally degradable polymer, the material is biointegrative (replaced by natural bone over time) and provides surgeons with a more biologically friendly way to restore patient stability and mobility while leaving nothing permanent behind. More than 10,000 OSSIOfiber implants have already been used in orthopedic surgeries since their commercial introduction in 2019.

June 2021 – Additive Orthopaedics has sold its product lines to Paragon 28, Inc. England Securities served as Additive’s exclusive financial advisor. This represents England’s second M&A transaction in foot and ankle orthopedics this year and serves to further establish the firm as the leading investment bank for this sector.

Additive Orthopaedics, based in Little Silver, NJ, leverages state-of-the-art 3D metal printing technology to design, manufacture, and market patient-specific and off-the-shelf implants specializing in complex reconstructions, implant revisions, and limb salvage procedures.

This transaction included their 3D-printed Patient Specific Talus Spacer, approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration this February, and Additive’s internally developed, proprietary pre-operative surgical planning application.

May 2019 – England Securities recently served as the exclusive placement agent to Catalyst OrthoScience Inc. (Catalyst) in its $12.7 million oversubscribed Series C-1 financing round led by River Cities Capital Funds (River Cities).

Catalyst develops and markets a disruptive technology that represents the next evolution in shoulder surgery. Its shoulder replacement system is the only one that incorporates an innovative elliptical humeral head design that matches the human anatomy. Further, its simple surgical technique minimizes bone removal to preserve the strongest bone for implant fixation and employs patented angled instruments to minimize procedure invasiveness. The precision of the system yields highly accurate and repeatable restoration of the natural anatomy.

The funding will allow Catalyst to increase its inventory, expand its distribution networks and marketing efforts, and develop new product components. The Catalyst CSR™ Total Shoulder System has been used in more than 1,000 surgeries. First patients are more than two years post surgery with excellent clinical results.
