Thomas M. Crews

Tom Crews has over 30 years of experience as an investment banker, entrepreneur, and corporate executive of energy technology and healthcare technology companies. As an investment banker, he has completed a wide range of sell-side M&A transactions, and venture capital and private equity financings for growth-stage technology companies.
Prior to joining England & Company in 2021, Mr. Crews was Managing Director and head of the energy tech practice group at Bowen Advisors, a Boston-based technology investment bank. Previously, Mr. Crews was a Managing Director with Stratford Partners where he provided M&A, strategic advisory, and turnaround advisory services to growth-stage companies, and a Principal with Skipping Stone, a strategic consulting firm focused exclusively on the energy industry. Prior to entering investment banking, Mr. Crews served as CEO for two venture capital-backed energy management companies (Pentech Solutions and Envenergy) and a medical device manufacturer (SynergEyes). He is also co-founder of INC Research (now Syneos Health), a multi-billion-dollar, global biopharmaceutical services company.
Mr. Crews earned his BA from Capital University and his MBA and JD from the Ohio State University.

Powerside Completes Growth Financing
December 2023 –England & Company is pleased to announce it served as the exclusive placement agent to Power Survey and Equipment Ltd. (“Powerside“) in its successful closing of a growth equity investment from Energy Growth Momentum LLP (“EGM”). Powerside, based in Saint-Laurent, Quebec and Alameda, CA, plays a pivotal role in advancing the transformation of the industrial and utility electric power infrastructure with its unique ability to analyze, detect, and correct power quality issues arising from the increase in electric vehicles, a more distributed energy resource mix, and more renewable generation.

August 2023 – England & Company is pleased to announce that it recently served as exclusive placement agent in Flume, Inc.’s (“Flume”) recent growth financing provided by HCAP Partners, a California-based private equity firm and nationally recognized impact investor.
Flume, based in San Luis Obispo, CA, is making significant contributions toward conservation and sustainability as the best-in-class provider of high-definition water data and analytics to consumers, the water technology industry, and the water resource management ecosystem. This funding will enable Flume to expand its operations, customer base, and corresponding market share through working capital and geographical expansion.
